Adam Mamula – Percussionist, Composer, and Educator
Adam Mamula is a Nashville-based percussionist, composer, and music educator with extensive experience across orchestral, jazz, rock, and contemporary music. He has performed worldwide, from major cruise lines to prestigious orchestras, and is active in the Nashville music scene as both a performer and educator.
Adam’s versatility spans from orchestral percussion to rock drumming, and he has collaborated with renowned artists such as Ben Folds, Marvin Hamlisch, Dionne Warwick, Emanuel Ax, and the Empire Brass. His work has taken him to venues across the U.S. and internationally, with performances in Prague, Australia, South America, and beyond.
In March of 2025, Adam’s orchestral composition The Machine was performed by the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra, marking his first orchestral work to be publicly premiered.

- Freelance Percussionist & Composer (Nashville, TN)
- Substitute Member of the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra – Upcoming performance with the orchestra on Mahler’s 2nd Symphony in May 2025.
- Educator & Private Instructor – Offering drum set and snare drum lessons to students of all levels.
Past Performance Experience:
- Bass singer with Nashville Symphony Chorus – Performed with the ensemble, including an international performance in Prague.
- Cruise ship musician with Holland America, Royal Caribbean, P&O Australia, and Celebrity Cruises, performing in jazz, pop, and show bands.
- Guest percussionist with multiple U.S. symphony orchestras, including the Wheeling Symphony, Erie Philharmonic, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and Youngstown Symphony.
- Former member of The Zou (rock band), recording and touring extensively across the U.S.
- Active performer in musical theatre, with dozens of productions to his credit
Education:
- Master of Music (Percussion Performance) – Cleveland State University
- Bachelor of Music (Percussion Performance & Music Education) – Youngstown State University
- Technical Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management – Vol State Community College
